Kathy Keller began her position as the Executive Director for WC4C- Williamson County Community Coordinated Child Care June 2009.  Prior to her work in the nonprofit field, Kathy was a high school educator for 30 years.

Kathy was born in Austin, Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Family & Consumer Science in 1998.  Immediately following she began her profession as a High School Teacher.  She taught 2 years at Plainview High, and 1 year at Dime Box I.S.D. in the Preschool Special Education classroom.  In 1982 she signed a teaching contract with Georgetown I.S.D. and completed her last 27 years of teaching in May 2009.  She taught a variety of Family & Consumer Sciences courses but her love was always Child Development & Early Childhood Professions.  Kathy’s passion has always been to positively influence children whether that be in the classroom or at home.  From 1992-2000, she continued to teach but also worked in the community as an Early Childhood Consultant and was the Director of Eagle Wings Child Development Center. Kathy developed a quality Child Development Lab School serving infants through preschool.  Quality care has always been a priority of Kathy’s and because of this, Eagle Wings Child Development Center completed two Accreditations with N.A.E.Y.C. during her leadership as director. March 2009, Kathy soon discovered that she had another calling which was to enter the nonprofit world striving to make a big impact in the lives of children and families.  So she retired from 30 years in the teaching profession only to take another stop in providing quality care for children through the mission of WC4C.

Kathy stays active in her profession, her community & with her family.  She is a member of  N.A.E.Y.C., National Association of Education for Young Children, TANO, Texas Association of Non Profit Organizations, AFP, Association of Fundraising Professionals and serves as Co-chair of Women’s Ministry at The Salado United Methodist Church.  She is married to John Keller, a baseball coach at St. Stephens Episcopal Church and owner of a tree farm.  They have 2 grown children (both Tech graduates) and a wonderful U.T. son-in-law.
